A cluster is a group of several stitches combined into one stitch and is often used to reduce the number of stitches in a row. Clusters are abbreviated by naming the number and type of stitches to be combined. For example, a 5dc-cl is a cluster of 5 double crochet, likewise a 3tr-cl is a cluster of 3 triples. Each stitch of the triple is worked until its last loop remains on the hook (for sc-cluster, merely draw the yarn through the stitch). | ||

Step 2 Work additional stitches until last loop of each remains on hook: |
Step 3 Yarn over and draw through all loops on hook -- stitch made (a 3dc-cl is shown): |
